This week's episode features a conversation with Rebecca Gummere, creative writer and author. Rebecca is a two-time Pushcart nominee and has been awarded three North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grants (2013, 2015, and 2018). She has also been the recipient of two Fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) and was selected to receive a 2017-2018 North Carolina Artist Fellowship for her memoir-in-progress about her recent nine-month cross-country pilgrimage.
We talk a little about #vanlife journeys, her multi-disciplinary career experience, and closing the distance between her physical consciousness and the divine. Rebecca also shares a very personal and heartbreaking experience of the sudden loss of her infant son, and how that upended everything she knew about life, death, faith - and the thread that connects us all!

We never tell anyone what she or he should do. Instead, we help brainstorm ideas and look together at possibilities. We work closely with other helping agencies and can help survivors identify the different avenues of support available to them.
