Ep 30: barre3 Master Trainer Lisa Schale-Drake on Working Out as a Mom & Listening to Your Body We Gotta Talk: News, Issues, and Beauty for Women

Lisa Schale-Drake is a master trainer and VP of research and development with barre3, which basically means it's her job to design workouts that kick your butt.

But seriously, barre3 is pretty amazing. It's the workout I've been doing for over three years now--including through my third pregnancy and postpartum--and it's an intense and, most importantly, effective workout. It's the main thing I credit with helping me to feel great and shed the postpartum pounds after our third baby.

I'm still on the barre3 wagon at least three times a week, and you all know when I love something, I have to share it!

Lisa and I have already chatted several times for interviews for my blog. She's so energetic and inspiring, and she really breaks down what makes a workout good, and why it's so important to find a low-impact workout that works, especially when you have just a little bit of time.

Sidenote: In the intro of this episode I also talk about our recent trip back to Pittsburgh and some recent episodes of anxiety I've been dealing with. (Spoiler alert: it's hard to travel with three young kids! and hormones still suck). And it's kinda intense. I know everyone out there with a young family and aging parents can relate to the unique stressors that this time of life can bring, and I just had to share it. Just wanted to give you a heads up because it's a little longer of an intro than normal!
