Ep. 30: Stephanie Moram, Good Girl Gone Green Be The Good with Kate
-
- Society & Culture
Today’s guest on Be The Good with Kate is CEO and Founder of Good Girl Gone Green, Stephanine Moram. She is also the host of podcast Green Junkie (which premieres TODAY), has been featured on many television shows and news publications, and is “guiding humans to zero waste without complication.”
Stephanie wants to empower people to live more green--and to not make this a complicated thing to do. Stephanie has such a passion for learning, as well as to pass that knowledge on to others.
A huge takeaway: Ask questions.
“Tell me why” her husband said to her when she brought up eating all organic, and she dove into that answer and continued from there-- asking all the questions she could. Why, where, what regarding food, the clothing she was wearing, and products she was buying.
Becoming more and more passionate about all of this, she eventually started a blog, then social media, educating others, and growing into Good Girl Gone Green.
Stephanie notes observing a shift since the pandemic began with regards to a general increase of awareness from people-- with more, it seems, paying attention to details in what we are consuming, putting out into the environment, buying, and so on.
Another major takeaway: It doesn’t have to be complicated.
Find what shade of green you are -- “How can I help you get to the next color of green.” Love that.
Also hear Stephanie’s renewed focus on caring for herself the past year and a half. She started making changes. Walking every single day, cutting back on hours of working, getting back in touch with an old friend, and wouldn’t you know, her business has grown through this shift in focus.
Stephanie’s Instagram and her website are both funny and educational. Find her at:
