In this short episode, I try to prove that Snapchat actually gave Instagram permission to use its patented tech behind their story creation feature...

Now, let’s look at the startups that Snapchat has AQUIRED while hiring all these folks, shall we?

Now, it’s that one-touch photo or video capture element that really intrigued me to research, and eventually find what became the title of todays episode, and hence forth is my crazy conspiracy theory- Snapchat allowed IG to create Stories because it gave them permission to use the capture feature.

US Patent number US8428453 is my evidence of permission granted by SC. This Patent was granted to Snapchat after a settling out of court with a company called Bigfoot Internet Ventures, who claimed they filed a pending patent application for the ability to either press a button to take a still photo or long press the same button to create a video. Think about IG Stories and HOW you execute content creation and it matches perfectly with this Snapchat patented and used feature.
