Ep 44: Dispelling 5 myths about women at work

Wrapping up the year with Episode 44! We're taking a summer break in the Southern Hemisphere, so catch you in mid-January.

After six months of deep dives, seven Powrsessions cohorts, and over 80 coaching sessions, we're here to spill the tea on some myths. Ones that we - and others - might hold about women in the workplace.

1. We’re not confident

Contrary to the myth, we ride the rollercoaster of real feelings. Juggling a dozen things and often unsupported, occasional frazzle is just part of the leadership gig.

2. We don’t apply unless 100% qualified

Spoiler: Not true! From juggling acts to the grooming gap, our hesitations aren't about our value. It's normal to question readiness, but we also champion the "if not you, then who?" mantra.

3. We don’t negotiate

The gender pay gap isn't our fault. With the right tools, we do negotiate.

4. We don’t have executive presence

Scrap the old-school leader image. We exude confidence through collaboration and influence.

5. We lack ambition

Ambition? It looks different when juggling all the balls when we haven’t experienced the grooming gap and don’t have relatable examples to look up to.

It's time to rethink these myths and unveil the truths about women in the workplace.
