Ep. 46: Shattering the Stigma of Alcoholism: A Conversation with Nancy McKay This Is My Truth

    • Self-Improvement

Today I have a conversation with Nancy McKay who shares her very personal story around her journey with alcohol. In our society, there is such a stigma around alcoholism, yet there is so much focus (and pressure!) to drink, especially in quarantine times. Nancy vulnerably shares her journey, her rock bottom & her perspectives on why there is such a stigma around alcoholism in today's society. I also share a pretty vulnerable moment around my own relationship with alcohol.

About Nancy:

Nancy J. McKay is the Founder of Amazing Outlook Coaching, LLC.

Nancy believes that you can't be courageous without first being vulnerable.

Nancy has been sober since March 2009 and is an ovarian cancer survivor. Through the pain of these challenging and

life changing events, she became acutely aware that life is short, and there was no time to lose to follow her dreams.

She completely changed course at the age of 60 to create a life filled with purpose and passion and became a Certified

Mind-Body-Eating Coach in 2018, a Certified Wayfinder Life Coach in 2019 and a Certified Equus Coach in 2020.

Nancy uses her unique experience, training, and her passion to help women explore and eliminate what is holding

them back, so they can change their lives and create their own Amazing Outlook. She works intently with her clients to

challenge old beliefs and patterns and replace them with practices that empower them to achieve their desires.

Nancy is warm and compassionate as well as a bit salty and sassy, and her clients are always inspired by her.

In addition to her coaching practice, Nancy is an author and a dynamic speaker. She lives in Colorado with her husband

Jimmy and their two rescued Westies, Maggie and Tommy.
