While I’ve loved this podcast over the past few years, post covid the show has turned very negative. For a podcast dedicated to Disney World and “capturing the magic,” there’s a lot of focus on what Jared thinks Disney is doing wrong or what they could be doing better. As someone who loves Disney World but only comes once or twice a year, I sought out this podcast to keep the magic going at home. I wonder if as new Orlando locals, the hosts are sadly losing sight of what I assume most of their non-local listeners are seeking- the Disney Magic. Sadly, may seek out an alternate show if CTM is seemingly shifting its focus.

I used to be a fan of this podcast but the negativity and quickness to complain or criticize has gotten out of control. I also get frustrated because they will criticize and say what they think will be wrong or what won’t work about something at WDW, but then they never actually do or try those things to see if their opinion holds true. They moved closer to Disney to experience things for their podcast, but they don’t actually experience them. Example: major critiques of the new Cake Bake Shop and its prices, even after they were lowered. Fair, the prices are high. But will there be follow up to experience it and let us know? Probably not. They’ve decided it’s not good and don’t feel any obligation to try it and report about it. That’s OK if you’re just some average Disney fan. But for a podcast about Disney, I expect more. I don’t live there and don’t get to go as often. I’m relying on creators to report about it. But they won’t. You’ll do better tuning into some of the more prominent Disney YouTubers, Instagram or TikTok accounts or even other podcasters who go regularly and try everything.

Having listened to this show for years, I’ve been able to see the show and its hosts evolve, all while attracting new listeners, with full attention to providing guidance and insight to the latest news and park trips. It’s been a go-to for awhile and is worth the listen.
