Ep 6 - Building a Whole New System w/ Matthew Raymond-Goodman The Morning S.L.I.C.E.

    • Self-Improvement

If you can bear with us through some sound quality issues, you’re bound to be moved by this interview with Matthew Raymond-Goodman.
Matthew is a queer Lifecoach, currently studying to become a therapist, and he happens to be one of my very best friends. We discussed his transformative experience in the Peace Corps, living and teaching amidst cultural conflicts, and the importance of resilience, empathy, and connection in difficult situations. We explored the significance of teachers in society, the impact of structural inequality on the education system, and how we can better support teachers as they create nurturing environments for our kids. We talked about finding the freedom to be completely ourselves without the restrictions of “shoulds” and preconceived notions in our relationships. Matt has been near and dear to my heart ever since we worked together in Boston University’s West Campus dining hall. His wisdom makes me a better person, and time spent with him is always good for my soul. I hope you’ll feel the incredible amount of love that’s running throughout this episode.
