You won't want to miss this one!
Leanne Higgs is a Registered Dental Hygienist born on a farm in Melville Saskachewan Canada. At the age of 15, Leanne decided she wanted to be a dental hygienist. She graduated with two degrees: dental therapy & dental hygiene. After practicing in Canada for 10 years in both public health as well as private practice, she moved to the Caribbean in 1996 and was the first Dental Hygienist to be licensed in the country. In 2017, after 19 years of working for the same dentist, Leanne had major spine surgery fusing 3 vertebra together. Before surgery, she ran 2 full marathons and over a half dozen half marathons.
Leanne opened the first independent dental hygiene clinic in the Carribbean which allowed her more flexibility with scheduling. Her business has survived 2 category-5 hurricanes and more recently, renovated and moving into her own clinic at the start of the pandemic…. Leanne is clearly no stranger to challenges.
