Ep 60 The Art of Reflection Be Love. Do Good. with Kristi Hayes

    • Relationships

This week we are talking to my friend Bob Cancalosi, author of Four Loop Learning, The Art of Journaling and Reflective Leadership. The premise of Bob’s philosophy is that leaders who are more reflective are truly more effective. He has learned that deliberate reflection helps leaders slow down, think deeper and implement change with enhanced precision which results in greater impact results. During his tenure at GE, Bob served in the role as Chief Learning Officer for the Healthcare Business for 7 years with responsibility for the leadership development of 60,000 global employees. Then the last 8 years of his career he was the Leader of the GE Crotonville Global Customer Education team with responsibility for the leadership development of GE’s global strategic customers and training over 5,000 customer executives annually.

Bob has been journaling for over 20 years and studying the leadership best practices from leaders in all types of industries and organizational structures in over 100 countries throughout the world. He uncovered a recurring observation that the leaders who were deliberately more reflective were more effective in achieving results, and this is why his book centers on leadership journal coaching.

There is never a better time than the present to reflect on our lives. Quarantine has made us sit back and reflect on our priorities, schedules, and family time. You will love this conversation with Bob, who has so much wisdom when it comes to using the gifts in your life to share with others.

Also on the podcast Bob tells us about his medical journey that has impacted his life in many ways. Cancer of the neck and throat has paralyzed the sides of his face, and yet he is still sharing his gifts and talents with others. He is a true inspiration.
You will be inspired and learn tangible steps on how to reflect, but also how that reflection leads to action.
