Ep 70 - The Challenges of Starting a Business as a First Generation Immigrant ft. Founder of Kanchiko OneUp Project

    • Business

Saylesa and I actually went to highschool together but she has now moved over to the US with her family! Through the hectic lockdowns, she gained a passion for makeup! Doing mainly editorial looks, things started gaining traction and finding some cool products she thought she could start something herself!

The brand started off with beauty products but as of the 27th of Feb they will be launching fashion wear! So exciting for her and to see such quick growth of something that started so humbly is something I loved interviewing her about!

A really important topic Saylesa focused on was the challenges that have come with this journey involving family, upbringing and society in general! I really enjoyed hearing this perspective and commend Saylesa so much for what she has managed to achieve in such a short space of time!
