“I always think of negative experiences as a situation...if you look at it as a situation, there is always a way out. It’s a matter of whether or not you let your emotions dictate your response to it.”
Joining the conversation is Olea and Fig Co-Founder Annie Chang. Having studied chemical engineering and business, she began her career in Silicon Valley in marketing and business development in tech. After experiencing burnout, moments of injustice, and facing some pretty big “shoulds”, she realized she needed to make a serious pivot and build a career and life that allowed for more creativity and fulfillment. Annie discusses some of the negative experiences she holds onto and why, the difference between holding onto negative experiences and negative emotions, and how we can turn negative experiences into power.
Annie Chang and her sister Terrie Chang are the co-founders of Olea and Fig, where they help driven women entrepreneurs build their brand, business strategy, and marketing plan. You can find them at oleaandfig.com and on Instagram @oleaandfig.
