Ep 8: Talking with Cate Quinn + a dive into the week's new release‪s‬ BIBLIO HAPPY HOUR

    • Books

In this week's show, I had the pleasure of speaking with Cate Quinn about her US debut novel BLACK WIDOWS.  I also highlighted some of the week's new book releases.  Don't forget to download The 2021 Winter Reading List — a reader's free guide to the season's best reads!  Get your free copy at:  bibliolifestyle.com/2021wrl

Books to keep on your radar:
THE REMOVED by Brandon Hobson is a novel steeped in Cherokee myths and history, as it shares the story of a fractured family.  We see their grief and resilience, as they reckon with the tragic death of their son 15 years ago.  There’s hope, though, as the family finds comfort and attempt to heal their grief.

WE RUN THE TIDES by Vendela Vida is a coming-of-age story that centers around a girl’s disappearance in 1984 San Francisco. It's both a gripping mystery and a tribute to the wonders of youth, in all its beauty and confusion.  It’s also an achingly beautiful story of female friendship, betrayal, and the changing landscape of San Francisco.

THE SCULPTRESS by V.S. Alexander is an absorbing, immersive novel set during World War I, as a talented and ambitious artist finds an unusual calling.
