Ep. 9. Stayin' Alive with Jesse Smith - Earl Slick

Stayin' Alive with Jesse Smith

Welcome to episode 9 of Stayin Alive with Jesse Smith, a podcast about creative people how they weather the storm of a life of the road.

Today’s guest is one of the reasons I started this podcast in the first place. A couple of years ago I was given the opportunity to go on a speaking tour as an interviewer which was a brand new discipline for me and it resulted in two tours on the road with one of the world’s greatest guitarists. He is undoubtably one of the best ever rock and roll side men, having played with David Bowie on and off for almost Forty years and also on John Lennon’s last two studio albums. He’s also written and recorded with Glen Matlock, Robert Smith, David Coverdale and Jim Diamond to name a few. We’ve become really good friends over the last few years and I really hope you enjoy our conversation. Today’s guest is the one and only - Earl Slick.

Next’s week’s guest is another incredible guitar player and one of my favourite episodes I’ve recorded, she is best known for playing guitar for Kate Nash and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and also helped create and incredible charity called Girls Rock London and is one of the mot inspirational women I know, so make sure you tune in for my conversation with Linda Buratto.
