Ep29: Making All Cosmetics Cruelty-Free with Aviva Vetter Forces for Nature

    • Nature

Did you know that over 100k animals still suffer and die each year due to the testing of chemicals used to make mascara, shampoo, and other cosmetics despite there being more effective non-animal testing methods available? This antiquated practice is still legal in 4 out of 5 countries but today's guest, Aviva Vetter, is part of a global team working to change that. She is the campaign manager for Humane Society International's latest project to end animal testing in the cosmetics industry, Save Ralph. We talk about their spokes-bunny, Ralph, this star-studded campaign, and the very easy things you can do to make sure your beauty routine is cruelty-free.
See Ralph for yourself in this stop-motion animation short film by Andrew Gent that features a Hollywood A-list cast of voices. Check the film here and then rush over to sign this petition. Be a part of this global movement to end cosmetics testing once and for all.
