EP311: Decolonizing the Coaching Industry & Healing Indigenous Wounds with Emily Brant The Lauren of Love Podcast

    • Self-Improvement

Today on the show we are having a deep conversation about decolonization and the coaching industry.

I am a white woman, and I knew that it was really important to me to help the world heal… and In order to HELP the world heal, I have to do my best to UNDERSTAND the aspects of healing I know NOTHING about.

Like… the struggles of BIPOC.

So I decided it was time to bring Emily Brant on the podcast — to talk about decolonization and the coaching industry - and to share about her personal experience as an indigenous woman navigating the world of personal development and self healing.

Emily is an Indigenous author, speaker & mentor working at the intersection of personal development and decolonization. She’s on a mission to decolonize the personal development industry! Emily works both directly with women of the global majority (“BIPOC”) as an empowerment coach, and is also a consultant for ally coaches who want to decolonize their business. At the heart of it all is fostering communities where everyone feels seen, safe, and truly supported so that we can all rise together!

Her story is incredibly vulnerable and the education she offers on this episode is truly amazing.

I am also on Emily’s podcast this week as well - talking about what it’s like to be a white woman working with indigenous medicines and being a coach in the online space. You can check that out by clicking here.
