For several years, one place in Coconut Grove became the hive for all the players, from the Cuban smugglers, to rock stars, and even the stars of Miami Vice. Only after the cameras stopped rolling, Don and Philip Michael weren't busting the real life gangsters who partied with them.
Author Roben Farzad chronicled this time at the Mutiny Club at the Hotel Mutiny in his book Hotel Scarface--a kick ass journey into the real Scarface scene in Miami. You might even recognize the people and places in the book, and with good reason--Scarface screenwriter Oliver Stone stayed at the Mutiny while writing the film, even accidentally leaving a reference to the Mutiny Club in the script instead of the fictionalized Babylon Club!
