Episode 108: Are Plant Based Burgers Healthy‪?‬ Drama-Free Healthy Living With Jess Cording

    • Alternative Health

BBQ season is upon us, so I thought it’d be a good time to share some information about some healthy, non-meat options for the grill, specifically, plant-based burgers. As you’ll hear in this solo podcast, there are various plant-based burger options available on the market, but are they truly healthier than their red meat alternatives?

In this solo podcast I’ll explore:
How plant-based burgers compare to beef burgers when it comes to nutritional values, ingredients, and how much they are processed; The safest and healthiest forms of soy, which is often used in plant-based burgers; How the nutritional values and ingredients of 85% lean beef burgers, the Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat Burger stack up against one another.
Ultimately, it’s important to remember that you’re the expert on you, and that indulging in a food you truly enjoy is totally fine. As I like to suggest to my clients, think about the experience you want to have with your food and make decisions that are best for you. We’re really fortunate that there are so many tasty and healthy plant-based products that mimic the beef-eating experience really well.

Happy grilling!
