What a treat to speak with registered sports dietitian and two-time Olympic Trials Qualifier, Kelsey Beckmann Pontius, RD!  Kelsey is the owner of Meteor Nutrition (www.meteornutrition.com) through which she provides nutrition services to runners of all levels.  Kelsey grew up playing competitive soccer, and eventually ended her career as a D1 soccer player to become an elite distance runner.  Kelsey shares how we can use fueling to improve our running and recover from injury.  Her advice in this episode, particularly with respect to fueling for running AND injury, is invaluable to runners of all levels!  With two months to go until the Boston Marathon, now is a great time to experiment with some fueling sources, figure out a nutrition plan, and implement that plan during training runs to train your gut well before race day.  Kelsey shares how and why training with fuel and racing with fuel are game changers for runners of all levels.
