A Brief History of Joan of Arc with Claire, creator of JONI
Hey mockstars! We have a really cool episode this week and we're joined by our new friend, Claire, creator of JONI. JONI celebrates a long overlooked and upcycled ingredient that's been around for millennia: verjus. Claire shares with us her inspiration behind the name - Joan of Arc - and both their stories, and we are 100% here for it! You can find JONI online at drinkjoni.com and all over social media. We might be biased but we love both the Rouge and Blanc over at Malice & Mocktails HQ. Highly recommend.

Monsters & Mocktails: Halloween Episode, the Rougarou
Happy Spooky Season!! This week Emily tells us about the rougarou, the legendary Cajun werewolf. The rougarou was often used as a cautionary tale for children and adults alike. If you have ever experienced a rougarou let us know!
Our zero proof drink this week is very fitting - it is the Rougarou coffee blend by French Truck Coffee. They typically offer this every year around this time and it is so good! This blend is made up of Honduran and Colombian coffee and has notes of praline, caramel, and chocolate brownie sweetness. Emily also wanted to shout out Clearly Canadian which she loves!

This week's mocktail is brought to you by Cookchaos.com, and the full recipe can be found here: https://www.cookchaos.com/bramble-mocktail/

Versatility
Love how Emily & Katie change things up with a ghost story. They keep their content fresh & always interesting. Even though the the topic can be dark they are always respectful, researched & a fun listen. Check them out!
They give good pod.
Stories here are lesser known but research is great and they are presented in a very engaging way. Really good stuff. Got a road trip soon? You’re all set.
Love a twist!
These two definitely work well together. No only do they find great stories to tell, they’re stories we haven’t heard yet! And, love the twist of highlighting a Mocktail…great decision- not everyone wants/can drink alcohol. Great job ladies!
