Love this podcast

This podcast is real and not scripted. This is a combination of so many topics. You won’t get board listening to all the various show topics.

Honey is an Anti-Semite

This podcast is not as innocuous as it may seem. Ben Strothmann, AKA known as Honey LaBronx seems to be anti-Israel based on many of his online posts. Lots of hate in his messaging. I will never listen to anything he does (unless he reverses the hate).

I keep subscribing and unsubscribing from this podcast. Now, I did come to this late, as in 2020, and when I find a new (to me podcast) I like to start from the beginning. So some of this information is already very dated. I used to not mind banter in a podcast, and now the more I hear on different podcasts, the more irritating it becomes (this is particularly true in true crime, which this podcast is not, and I get that.) The thing is, I don't know any of the people who banter in the podcasts. Sometimes I might be FB friends with one or two, but we have no actual real no connection. And when a podcast episode drags on for an hour and a half, with half of that being personal stuff, I'm not sure, how should I say, that I care all that much? I'm a longtime vegan who was vegetarian for a long time before that, and so a lot of the information here isn't really new to me. I don't care about the NYC social or vegan scenes; I don't live there anymore. And I am really really not a fan of greenwashed vegan products, so I tend to cringe when they gush about Daiya or some other brand that has sold out to vivisectors. That said, and I'm only up to 2014 in terms of podcasts, the episodes where they interview other activists tend to be really really good. I loved hearing Donny Moss and the issue of the carriage horses (which, all this time later, is still a thing). I loved the first Thanksgiving episode where they interviewed 3 vegans (except I am not a fan of Colleen Patrick-Goudreau; I don't think she's updated with the times in terms of conjoining justice movements). The food reviews I can do without. I am just not into hearing about vegan food. I like the activist stuff. So I've downloaded a few new episodes and we'll see how they go -- whether I keep on with this or give it up once and for all.
