Hey there, I’m Dr. Kyle Farr, DNP, NP-C. Im a Board-certified Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Kyle Farr Aesthetics in Plymouth, Michigan. I practice full-time in aesthetic medicine and this is The Aesthetically Honest Podcast!

The Aesthetically Honest Podcast is born from my drive to bring AUTHENTIC and HONEST insight into the aesthetic industry. It’s a collection of topics that truly has something for everyone. It will spark interest in the first-time aesthetic patient to the most experienced injector.

How did this all come about?

It came from my experiences renting a tiny salon suite on a week-to-week back in 2014 to inject a little bit of tox and dermal filler. That side hustle organically evolved into being the founder of one of the most well-respected medical spas in Metro Detroit.

It came from my passion for education and mentoring others that would spill over and help me become one of the most utilized trainers with major aesthetic companies. From there, I built and developed the widely successful aesthetic training and mentoring program I have today. It also brought numerous opportunities to speak and teach at national conferences and seminars nationwide.

It came from how I would quickly learn how hard it may be to realize the aesthetic industry is, quite frankly, full of so much b******t.

The Aesthetically Honest podcast came from all those experiences and much more that I want to share. The aesthetic industry sometimes seems impervious not only to providers, especially newbies, but clients as well. It’s hard to know what’s authentic and what’s not. However, authenticity is one of my core intrinsic values, something I won’t ever compromise.

Join me for these honest conversations about all things related to aesthetic medicine. I’ll share my experience, knowledge, and the mistakes I have made with you; and have others join us as well. I invite you to collaborate and grow with me; we all have something to learn from one another.

    Size Matters.

    Size Matters.

In this episode, Kyle will explain why size matters. Size of your tox dose: (get your mind out of the gutter).

The amount of tox dose matters for several reasons. Tox temporarily paralyzes the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles and fine lines. The amount of tox injected into the targeted area determines how effectively the muscles will be paralyzed and how long the results will last. Here are some key reasons why the amount of your tox dose matters:
Effectiveness: The amount of tox injected determines how effectively the targeted muscles will be paralyzed. Too little tox may not be enough to relax the muscles, resulting in unsatisfactory results fully. Conversely, too much tox could lead to over-paralysis of the muscles and unnatural or frozen facial expressions. A skilled and experienced injector can determine the optimal amount of tox needed for your unique needs and facial structure.Duration: The amount of tox injected also affects the duration of the results. A smaller dose may wear off more quickly than a larger one, while an excessive dose can lead to prolonged muscle paralysis. Your injector can work with you to determine the right dosage to achieve the desired results while also ensuring that the effects wear off at an appropriate time.Safety: Finally, the amount of tox injected is important for ensuring your safety. Neurotoxin is a medication. Medications have to be prescribed by providers to be administered legally. You must receive your injections from a qualified and experienced injector who can ensure you receive the correct dose for your needs and minimize the risk of complications.Kyle will also explain why he prefers to charge for his tox treatments on an "outcome-based" pricing model; and what that entails.

    Ozempic Face

    Ozempic Face

This episode is all about the phenomenon known as Ozempic Face, which has been generating buzz in the health and beauty industry.

So, what is Ozempic Face? Simply put, it refers to the visible side effect of Semaglutide (Ozempic or Wegovy), which has been used for weight loss and diabetes management. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that works by slowing down the rate at which food leaves the stomach, leading to increased feelings of fullness and reduced caloric intake.

While Ozempic has been primarily used for its intended purposes of weight loss and diabetes management, the term "Ozempic Face" has just gained traction for nothing more than shock value in the media. Kyle explains that it's a natural effect of weight loss to lose loose skin and fat volume in the face, 'symptoms' that can be easily treated with aesthetic treatments. Kyle also explains how Semaglutide works in the body and his success with the medication in losing over 70 pounds. Leaving him feeling more energetic, confident, and happier in his body.

Kyle shares why he feels Semaglutide is a safe and effective treatment for being overweight when done under the care of a qualified provider. Join Kyle as he demystifies some information on this 'famous' medication.

"How Much Is a Unit of Tox?"

Kyle will also discuss the theory behind 'outcomes-based' pricing in aesthetic treatments. What does that mean? What are the advantages? Why are they better for the patient and provider?

Whether you're a first-time tox patient, a seasoned veteran, a new injector, or a seasoned injector, this episode will provide valuable information and insights into the importance of quality when it comes to your tox treatments.
