Episode 130: Wood Library of Congress w/ Guest Host Paul Jackman Another Woodshop Podcast

    • Hobbies

Episode 130
Dan worked on more doors, he’s 3 doors down, and has about 7 more to go, and has been trying to catch up on Etsy orders because he’s been busy on client orders and YouTube.
Paul is working on a teardrop camper that has a massive manual, built a French cleat wall, making bunch of holders for miscellaneous shop items, pouring concrete in his barn, setting up the Diresta bandsaw, and rants about his followers being dumb.
Pete was burned out this weekend and took some time off, then came in hot and has been working on rapid prototyping more items for Etsy, catching up on a rush of orders, and getting stuff ready for the Christmas rush.

I made a work bench a year ago and its in a very bad shape. I want to refinish it and add melamine but I’m worried it might be too slippery. Any thoughts?

Would you rather fight 1 horse sized duck, or 100 duck sized horses?

I have a large piece of hickory I am using for a small table top. It has a crack or check running with the grain through the middle of the section I want to use as the top. It doesn’t appear deep nor does it impact strength of the panel. The crack runs 16” to 18” along a 22” top but does not appear to go through the piece. What is the best way to stabilize this crack or check? Is there a benefit to using epoxy over CA glue? Since this is a table top, are there durability concerns that would favor one solution over another?
