Episode 135: Announcing my new book, The Farewell Tour Drama-Free Healthy Living With Jess Cording

    • Alternative Health

Caregivers. Literally the word reflects how they “give”-but what about what they need to take? If you’ve ever been in a caregiving role, you know the self-care struggle is real.
After months of waiting to share this with you, I am thrilled to announce my upcoming book, The Farewell Tour: A Caregiver’s Guide to Stress Management, Sane Nutrition, and Better Sleep (Viva Editions, October 2022).

Inspired by my family’s experience caring for my father after his diagnosis of advanced pancreatic cancer (an experience which he, a music industry veteran, called his “farewell tour”), I have created a book intended to providing a healthier life for caregivers—Those who serve and assist ailing loved ones, the elderly, special needs children, and others who require ongoing care.

In this episode I hint at some of the self-care tips and tricks you’ll find in the book as well as info about the other wellness experts, music artists, and industry professionals who shared their insight for this book. I also share a few personal perspectives and stories on the creation and evolution of this text and what I have learned in my own caregiver journey.
