Episode 14: Understanding the COVID-19 Vaccine and Medical Racism with We Got Us Adulthood Pending

As more adults become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, we wanted to have a conversation about the COVID-19 vaccine. In this episode, we bring on the We Got Us Empowerment Project, a grassroots organization founded by Harvard Medical School student LaShyra “Lash” Nolen. They are a collective of Black community members, healthcare professionals, students, and allies dedicated to educating their communities about COVID-19 and ensuring their access to the vaccine.

Join us as we discuss with Community Engagement Director, Kareem King, and Co-Project Director, Caleb Gordon, of the We Got Us Empowerment Project and how they are providing members of their community with resources and information to make their own well-informed decisions about the vaccine, breaking down and dismantling myths about the vaccines, and combating systems of oppression in our healthcare system and unjust medical treatment in the Black community.
