Aubrey chats with Carly Pearson and Tim Weber about their unique journey to friendship, and about Carly's life experiences. A former firefighter for the U.S. Forestry Service, Carly was injured on August 17, 2002 at 27-years-old while battling a fire in the Umpqua National Forest. She was diagnosed with an incomplete spinal cord injury, and was paralyzed from the waist down. Carly speaks about her path to recovery - both physically and emotionally - and how the world of competitive parasports has become an incredible passion for her. Carly has been awarded nine national championships in three parasports: cycling, triathalons, and climbing. Currently, she is the ADA Coordinator for Knox County, Tennessee.
