Trust me. I get it. Summer is my favorite season too. I hate being cold, so it makes sense that sweaty season is my jam.
Plus, it's a time of celebration and fun, pool parties, cocktails, concerts, vacations, and more.
And that's where the setback syndrome begins. We get caught up in the "girls just wanna have fun" mode. Unfortunately, I watched this happen to one too many clients, and I don't want you to fall into the trap this year.
We work so hard to get ready for summer, and as soon as it's here, we fall right back into setback season. All of our hard work goes out the window, and we get right back to the old habits that created the problems in the first place.
This is the hamster wheel ~ roller coaster that we have to get off of once and for all.
Four Summer Setback Situations (listen to the show for my solutions on how I avoid the setback syndrome)
#1 Celebrations: Booze, Food, More Food, and Why The Hell Not, More Booze.
#2 Vacation: Travel (flights or road trip), Hotel (AirBnB or heaven forbid your family's spare bedroom), Mystery Food, etc.
#3 It's TOO HOT to do anything: I feel ya. Living in Palm Desert, the summer temps are always over 100 and get to as toasty as 120+ on those special days.
#4 It's so hot I can't sleep: There is some solid truth to this situation. When your body can't thermoregulate at night, it prevents you from getting into your restorative sleep state.
