Episode 238: Amari and Trent Whiting - House of Hoopers The Gametime Guru

    • Basketball

The Gatorade Player of the Year in Idaho, Amari Whiting joins the show today along with her father, Trent, as we discuss hoops in the Whiting household.  Amari is fresh off wrapping up a 4A State Championship in Idaho for her high school (Burley Bobcats) and her father Trent, is a former professional hooper. What a powerful duo!!  I'm going to be asking both of them some questions to learn from two amazing individuals about the sport and what we can take away from both of their careers.
With Trent having been a professional basketball player, we'll talk about the transition from college to the pros, as well as get some insight from him as a coach. We'll learn about the importance of club basketball and learn about how important the GRIND and PROCESS is for the sport.
Amari is the Gatorade Player of the Year and State Champion for 2022, and we'll be learning about her journey. What she's gone through. Her favorite memories. Life lessons from basketball and more!
What an honor it is to bring on the father and daughter duo to the show!! Now don't get it twisted, this is a HOUSE of hoopers. And that house includes the Mother of the home (Amber) who is the Head Coach of Burley High School Girls Basketball, and Jayce (who is the older brother, who will be playing for Boise State University upon returning from a Church Mission). Respect must be given to the two who are not on the show with us today as well :)
I hope you all enjoy this episode of the show and can take something away from it!
