Endometriosis and Egg Freezing The V Hive

    • Alternative Health

In this episode of The Women's Pelvic Health Podcast, I am joined by Kristin Sapienza, a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist based in New York City. Not only is Kristin a pelvic health practitioner, but she is also a pelvic pain patient. Ironically, at the same time Kristin began her pelvic floor physical therapy training, she was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Throughout this episode, Kristin discusses her knowledge as an expert in the field, in addition to simultaneously being a patient having to navigate these conditions for herself as well.

As a result of the endometriosis, Kristin was confronted with yet another challenge; infertility. Per her doctors recommendation, she went through the egg freezing process, of which she explains in great detail in this episode. This is the first guest on the podcast who can speak from both the practitioner and patient standpoint. It is incredibly eye opening and insightful.
