Episode 34: Resolving the Touch Crisis - featuring Dawn Bennett, author of “The Touch Crisis‪”‬ Wholly a Woman

    • Health & Fitness

What do you like when it comes to touch? Are you even aware of your relationship with touch? Dawn Bennet, author of “The Touch Crisis,” shares with us about how we can use awareness and communication to help resolve the current touch crisis.

Here is what you will hear in this week’s episode:
Touch is any kind of intentional and consensual physical contact
Ask yourself what you like and want, and communicate that simply and clearly
Then ask others, what would you like?
Don’t take it personally and don’t judge when someone else wants a different level of touch than you do
You do NOT have to justify your wants or needs
“Play” with touch - pay attention to how you feel with different kinds of touch - without judging
When we have healthy physical contact, our bodies release oxytocin, serotonin, and decrease the amount of cortisol released
One thing you can do to celebrate your whole womanhood is to touch yourself with love and pay attention to how you feel
