Yes, we mature in godliness, but if we disregard the righteousness that results from trusting what God has done in us, we're hiding who we truly are. This path is cruel in its heroic-sounding deception, partly because it never allows us to see a fundamental truth:
We can never resolve our sin by working on it.”
