In this episode of the Psykhe podcast, we’re joined by Tamuri Richardson, Motivational Speaker, Coach, Mental Health Presenter, Author and Trainer on domestic violence and women’s empowerment.
Tamuri had no interest in mental health until she found herself married to someone with a dual diagnosis of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and with drug addiction. She put her own life on hold to try to get him what he needed. Through wanting to understand his experience, she became affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Tamuri shares how she rebuilt her life after the end of her marriage, the importance of taking personal responsibility for our decisions, and shares some tips on becoming a better public speaker.
