Episode 43: Using Our Online Words for Good with Dan Darling In No Hurry with Cole Douglas Claybourn

    • Christianity

It's all too tempting in the age of social media to jump in on any and every controversial debate or conversation we see. Chances are, especially in 2020, you've had to decide whether to engage with someone or bite your tongue. If you're like me, you've entered into some online battles you didn't really need to. We've all been there, and it's only going to get worse as we get closer to the election in November.

But there's a way Christians can and should engage online when it comes to potentially contentious conversations, and author Dan Darling explains that in this week's episode. Dan is author of a new book entitled "A Way with Words: Using Our Online Conversations for Good," and he's full of Biblical wisdom on this topic. As a journalist and English teacher, I appreciated the chance to nerd out and have a conversation all about words.

Dan is the Senior VP for Communications at National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) and served for six years as VP of Communications for ERLC. He has authored nine books, including "The Original Jesus, The Dignity Revolution and the bestselling The Characters of Christmas." He's also a Chicago Bears fan, which makes him alright in my book.
