Rebuilding Relationships and Finding Recovery with Jesse Tucker, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP Positive Recovery MD

    • Mental Health

This week, Dr. Powers and Julie DeNofa chat with Jesse Tucker, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is Founder and a Provider of Carencia. Carencia is Outpatient Mental Health and Addiction Clinic that specializes in the care provided by nurse practitioners that address Recovery through Psychiatry-Informed Care and Psychotherapy.

Prior to Carencia, Jesse started his career in Pediatric Psychiatry where he met his beautiful wife on the Inpatient Unit (they say you shouldn’t find romance on the inpatient unit, but it has worked out so far). He transitioned to Addiction Treatment where he had the opportunity to serve in many administrative and clinical capacities including the Regional Director of Nursing. He has presented on Mental Health and Addiction topics for various local and national conferences and roundtables.

When he is not working at Carencia or helping the community through his services, he is spending time with his beautiful wife and three amazing children. Jesse enjoys being, active in outdoor sports such as biking and hiking, and likes to spend time reading, and traveling.

In this episode, Jesse shares the problem with addiction that is commonly overlooked, the importance of seeing opportunities during hard times, and why talking about Mental Health is one of the best things we can do for those struggling.

Topics Discussed:
Why rebuilding relationships is essential to Recovery The truth about Spiritual Growth and Sobriety  How Covid-19 opened the door for TeleHealth  Thriving past Post-Traumatic Growth  Destigmatizing Mental Health Disorders & normalizing Mental Health Connect with Jesse Tucker
