Learning to Surrender with Dr. Jordana Jacobs, Licensed Clinical Psychologist The V Hive

    • Alternative Health

In this episode of The Women's Pelvic Health Podcast, I am joined by Dr. Jordana Jacobs, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in mindfulness, relationships, existential therapy, and ways to cope with chronic pain. Jordana tells her story with chronic pain and Endometriosis; after eight years, two surgeries and tremendous fear and anxiety that she would have this pain forever and that no one would be able to help her, she finally realized that she had to turn inward in order to fully heal - and she explains this journey.

Jordana also discuses her experience with 10 day silent meditation retreats and the healing power this had on her, different coping techniques for chronic pain, and most importantly, how we can learn to surrender - which will ultimately foster the most profound level of healing, both emotionally and physically.

“If we surrender in our mind… our body will listen to that and will also surrender….sometimes we have to let go of the mind first."
