Episode 67: Married Life With a Blended Family with Tommy & Allison Fuller In No Hurry with Cole Douglas Claybourn

    • Christianity

We close out the series on marriage with one final couple, and this is such a special episode for us! This week Emily and I talked to her aunt Allison Fuller and her husband Tommy. I'm so blessed to be able to share their story and welcome their perspective on marriage to the show.

One thing I've really enjoyed about this series is how it's shown that marriage looks different for every couple. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to marriage, and each story is beautiful. Tommy and Allison were previously married with children before they met — on an online dating site, by the way! — and we loved hearing their perspective on what a blended family looks like and how they've approached just their marriage alone while also navigating that aspect of parenting.

They've also helped lead some divorce groups at their church, so they brought plenty of wisdom to the conversation from those experiences as well.

Tommy is the Associate Dean at the Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, so I was particularly interested in hearing his thoughts on marriage from more of a theological and exegetical approach.

Hope you enjoy this conversation!
