Jacob Hopper MPH, CIH, CIEC, served in the U.S Coast Guard for 23 years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his service, Jacob worked as a Safety and Environmental Health Officer, and held leadership positions within the Industrial Hygiene, and Maritime Accident/Pollution Investigation divisions. After hearing my presentation "Does Mould Cause Disease?" on the Exposing Mold podcast in late 2022, Jacob reached out to me to discuss this topic further. In this podcast, Jacob and I talk about whether mould really does cause disease, what its role is, and why we might have confused it as the bad guy.
