Episode 8: Conflict and Confrontation: Not Anger, but Peace Still Loading

    • Society & Culture

Conflict...ugh! Let's face it, we've all been there at one point or another. No one enjoys arguing with a friend, a significant other, a co-worker, etc. But believe it or not, arguments and disagreements come with building a healthy relationship--only if done in a proactive way. Fights often start with the same two words: "You always..." Studies have shown that the biggest unconscious mistake people make within relationships is failing to take emotional responsibility for their feelings. Oftentimes, we believe that others are 'making' us feel the way we are and in doing so, we fail to see our role in our own emotions. In today's episode, we tackle the struggles that arise in trying to effectively argue and how a lack of understanding can often lead us to communicating from a place of anger or frustration rather than a place of peace. What does a healthy, argumentative conversation look like to you? And how do we speak in a way where we work as a team instead of 'You' vs 'Me?
