Episode 85 Let's Go Green with Aisling O'Rourke

    • Documentary

Local authorities across Laois Offaly and Westmeath have recently adopted a new waste management plan but what does it mean for you? On this week’s Let’s Go Green Aisling O’ Rourke is joined by Kevin Swift of the Regional Waste Management Offices to talk about the new plan to get us to rethink our waste.
Speaking of waste the French Parliament has recently voted to penalise fast fashion companies to explain why Solene Schirer of Voice Ireland discusses the vote and why they’re asking the Government here to create a definition of textile waste to try and stem the curve on those clothes mountains we see clogging up waterways on social media.
Ryan Dolan also joins Aisling on this week’s show to talk about the 5th year student’s recent experience of debating environmental measures at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Let’s Go Green on Midlands 103 airs every Monday from 7pm and is brought to you with thanks to Eirgrid Group. If you would like to get involved in the show email Aisling here: https://www.midlands103.com/on-air/aisling-orourke/contact/
