Episode 9 - The Podcast That Died For France (1937 & 1938‪)‬ Saturday Night Spook-O-Rama

    • TV & Film

Spook-o-rama returns from our (extended) holiday break! In this ep, we've got two foreign films from the otherwise dead years of 1937 and 1938. The first is Song at Midnight (dir. Ma-Xu Weibang) from 1937, widely considered the first Chinese horror film. Next we take on J'accuse! (dir. Abel Gance) a French anti-war/incest film with some ghosts at the end.

Next week we'll be back to start horror's second golden age in 1939 with Hound of the Baskervilles and Son of Frankenstein.
