Escaping Futility—Was Francis Schaeffer Wrong‪?‬ God, Law & Liberty Podcast

    • Politics

The late Francis Schaeffer set the standard for many Christians for how to engage in non-futile conversations with non-Christians. He clearly diagnosed the reason so many live futile lives. But his fellow Presbyterian, theologian and seminary professor Cornelius Van Til, took him to task for letting his diagnosis lead him into a futile apologetic that does not refute the post-modernists’ conclusion of meaningless. Today David “moderates” the debate between Schaeffer, Van Til, and the leading post-Modernist thinker, Jacques Derrida. Their “debate” will be helpful regardless of one’s Christian faith tradition.
