Double Edged Double Bill Episode 109: Head Western for a Bloodrayne Soaked Tombstone

Double Edged Double Bill is going west! Adam Thomas and Thomas Mariani rustle up a double feature of western films alongside returning guest Lance Langford of The Horror Returns and Saddle Up podcasts! First, our hosts contend with their first – and hopefully last – film from Uwe Boll Bloodrayne II: Deliverance. Then, the show welcomes back Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer & every other actor alive in 1993 for Tombstone. Together, our trio answers some crucial questions. Is Uwe Boll worth the fuss? Who is “The Huckleberry” of the podcast? What films will be chosen for our next episode on Angela Bassett? Well, lasso up some vampiric varmints and tune in to find out!

If you can, please donate to or signal boost any causes to help Black Lives Matter protestors out there like any state bail fund. Stay safe.

Fat Shaming Shenanigans – Soul Forge Podcast 155

Fat Shaming Shenanigans – Soul Forge Podcast 155

Controversy in our town! Local couple’s fat shaming shenanigans goes viral!

Recently in the city of Timmins, local power couple Jess and Billy (Mr. Tattoo) released a video podcast. This has been a new ongoing project for them as they look to expand their empire. They are known around town as the go to artists for ink work. Actually, Billy doesn’t do anything. Jess does all the actual tattoo work. Well, in their latest video they answered a question that asked if they would prefer to be 60 pounds or 600. It was all downhill after that.

Soul Forge Podcast has the audio in question. You will hear the controversy and be able to decide for yourself. Just how bad was the reaction to their fat shaming shenanigans? Did the town react properly?

    The 42cast Episode 79: Agents of C.H.A.N.G.E.

Season 6 saw a lot of chagnes for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It was the first season that only ran for 13 episodes. It was the first season to run over the summer. It also was the first season without Agent Coulson. In the midst of all these changes the series found itself cut adrift from the Marvel films and needing to come up with a story without any ties to the larger MCU. In this episode we discuss the changes, the character arcs, whether we think that the Sarge revelation worked, if the series really no longer exists in the same reality with the films, and if Mack saved the Marvel TV universe from Thanos. Also, make sure to stay to the end, so that you can hear Mike Nelson’s theme song developed by our very own editor, Ben Gibbs!

The five-minute controversy this week asks whether Sony pulling Spider-Man from the MCU would be good for anyone.

This week Ryan, Mike, and Anji join the cast.

Flopcast 421: NBC Saturday Morning 1980 – We Got Godzooky

Flopcast 421: NBC Saturday Morning 1980 – We Got Godzooky

Flopcast episode 421! It’s our third and final show covering Saturday morning TV from four decades ago, and we’ve arrived at NBC. The network offered an odd cartoon lineup in 1980, consisting almost entirely of reruns! Even Godzilla and his tricky pal Godzooky were in reruns at this point, along with Hong Kong Phooey, Daffy Duck, Jonny Quest, and more. Hanna Barbera’s only new series was The Flintstone Comedy Show, a crazy revamp co-starring Captain Caveman, The Shmoo, and monster family The Frankenstones! Meanwhile Filmation supplied reruns of Batman (and Bat-Mite!) along with some long-forgotten heroes (Superstretch and Microwoman, anyone?) that eventually landed the studio in court for copyright infringement. But that didn’t matter to the kids in 1980; we just chomped our Lucky Charms and watched it all… Also this week: Just in time for National Nail Polish Day, Kornflake has a nail polish quiz that somehow involves Woonsocket, Rhode Island. And skinks. Of course.

Pop Culture Cosmos #196- Superman Flies Back to DC, What Could Be Coming For The Playstation 5, and Delicious Cooking Ideas For The Summer!

It’s a tasty episode for today as Noah Ian Fein from The HunnicOutcasts returns to talk with Gerald about henry Cavill coming back to DC. Does this mean a Man of Steel 2? Or does Warner Bros. have something different in mind? The guys also speculate on what Sony may have to offer in regards to its upcoming State of Play for the Playstation 5 this week. What feature do we want most of all for the PS5 and do we think that Sony needs it to thwart the momentum of the Xbox Series X? All this and Ben Arnot from Smoking Hot Confessions stops back in another time to share his thoughts on DC and the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League for HBO Max and some great cooking ideas while staying at home this summer. All this and we continue our Pop Culture Cosmos countdown of the top 100 movies with our #70-79.
