No casi perfecto — perfecto!
So grateful for this podcast! I have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and even spent a year living in Spain, feeling pretty good about my level of comprehension. However, then I started dating a Chilean and feeling absolutely lost when trying to participate in conversations with his family and friends. This podcast is exactly what I was looking for to help me learn Chilean slang on the sly, so I can laugh along with the group and more fully express myself and understand my partner.

As a language teacher myself, I can tell you first-hand that this podcast is exactly what you’re looking for if you want to learn more about the Chilean dialect of Spanish. This fills a HUGE gap in the podcast industry that kind of mimics full immersion in a gentle way. Natalia speaks slowly and clearly enough for you to understand, but not slowly enough to make you feel patronized.
The rich knowledge of the Chilean language and culture that you will learn keeps you wanting more and more! And through fascinating stories, you don’t even realize you are putting in an effort!
I listened to the whole first season of this podcast in one binge, after not being able to find one that didn’t just stick with the first 10 most obvious chilenismos you learn and never going beyond that. This one doesn’t get repetitive and boring. It feels like you’re listening in on a fascinating conversation. And no, she didn’t pay me to say this. I legit feel this way. You would do yourself a major disservice to skip over this one.

This is a women focused podcast that is perfect for those at intermediate level. The topics are timely and interesting and difficult words are repeated in English so you can easily learn new vocabulary.
