Just real
I know I am late to the party but I am not a regular podcast listener and it took a while to get this in my schedule. I wanted you to know why I rated this five stars. It’s not because it’s polished or professional. It’s because it’s not. If this had an intro and was edited and didn’t have kids taking a shower upstairs it would lose a lot. The ability to just be real and raw and honest is refreshing in a time where everyone is crafting themselves in a perfect social media facade. I too love stories. I have really enjoyed yours. I can’t express how brave I think you are. I enjoy listening very much and hope this will give me the courage to express my own. For those deciding whether or not to listen... if you want pretty and perfect don’t tune in. If you want to feel like you are having a beer with old friends and commiserating about life, This is your podcast.
A refreshing take
The stories of Cami and Ben resonate with me and my experience in the church as a teen. I came to the church as a trouble kid. I was absorbed in the youth group by age 13 and the stories bring me right back there. I wore a shirt that said “no bing bing without the ring ring” and rocked hard at Creation music festivals. I had a loss of faith in my late teens and a coming back in my late 20s. I viewed my Christianity very differently than my teenage self did. Finding a church home was hell, pun intended, and creating our own spiritual practices and opinions has felt strange at times. I appreciate this more than you two know, thank you for telling your story as hard as it must be. I found you from the AT videos and this honestly feels God sent. Love the Crawford’s to the moon and back💞
Challenge is good
I genuinely enjoy listening to your explanations of what you believe (or don’t believe) on a certain issue. You challenge me. I know it’s ok that my beliefs can differ, and they sometimes do, but over and over I feel growth from being out of the “echo-chamber.” Keep doing what you do. Thank you for continuing to share your point of view.
