Episode 6 - Jared Wyllys of the Sporting News

Episode 6 - Jared Wyllys of the Sporting News

In this episode, I welcome my good friend and fellow baseball writer Jared Wyllys as my guest. Jared has been on an interesting journey the last few years, going from posting on a baseball message board to the BBWAA. We talked about that, his biggest mistake as a credentialed reporter, his wife's amazing cooking, and their decision to foster and adopt their four children. There was so much for us to chat about, we could probably follow up with another episode!

Episode 4 - Ranking the top-10 Simpsons episodes

Episode 4 - Ranking the top-10 Simpsons episodes

Scheduling conflicts delayed this episode, but it's worth the wait! My friend Larry Scott, a co-host on a previous podcast of mine, joined me to rank the top-10 episodes of our favorite show, The Simpsons. I even cut in some hilariously cromulent clips to embiggen your listening experience.

    Episode 3 - Russell Dorsey of MLB.com

    Episode 3 - Russell Dorsey of MLB.com

For this episode, Russ Dorsey joined me to chat about his career and a wide array of other topics. Russ is a reporter in Chicago for MLB.com and one of the best young writers in the business. But there's always more to know, so I asked him about Chicago food, his favorite Disney movies, learning Spanish, music, and plenty more.

Loving it

I’ve listened to Ryan’s other podcasts and I just enjoy his sense of humor. This seems perfect for him, given his interview skills and the way his guests seem to like opening up to him. I can’t wait to see who is next!
