Episode 47: The Killer (2023)
The boys are back once again and this time they've got their David Fincher hats ON because they're diving into the latest Fincher film, 'The Killer,' starring Michael Fassbender. But before talkin' Fincher, the guys realize they know very little about history before diving into their favorite segment, Watcha Watchin', where the guys get talkin' about pretty much everything:
'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and showing emotion through color,' 'Blue Beetle' and the commodification of leftist ideas, 'The Truman Show' aka a perfect movie, 'The Birdcage,' the Orlando Magic (Jon sells Jose on sports), and 'Obliterated' on Netflix. Jon then sets up a new segment, Reel News, where it's tangent galore as the guys talk Oppenheimer DVD sales and our connection to physical media, 'Fallout' and mining IP, quality content, and GTA on Netflix before FINALLY diving into the 'The Killer.'
With an aggregate Critic score of 86% and a 59% Audience score, who do you think's got it right? The critics? The audience? Who cares!? Everyone's a Reel Critic!
