As we present the facts about our personal experience with the Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society (the "Society"), we challenge individuals to use critical thinking when examining the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, the group that follows the leadership of the Society. We encourage you to do research and not blindly accept everything the Society tells you. Learn about the history of this organization so you can make informed decisions that are in your own best interests.

Struggles of Jehovah's Witness Youths - Should I Regular Pioneer After High School
In this podcast, Ryan shares his experience on what it was like making choices as a young person graduating from high school. Unfortunately, the advice given by the elders in the congregation left him feeling helpless and hopeless when they begin encouraging him to regular pioneer. After taking the advice of the elders, Ryan chose to regular pioneer but quickly realized that he was unable to pay his bills. He was just struggling to survive. Fortunately, Ryan woke up and began to reexamine his situation. Perhaps you have had a similar experience where you gave up dreams, goals and aspirations to please the brothers in your local congregation. This happens all too many times where young people make decisions that drastically affect their ability to take care of their material needs much later in life. And, as Ryan discusses in this video, he was struggling to make ends meet every day. We hope this presentation will help you to think about your own career choices as you begin to navigate the waters in the "real world".Support the show

How the Elders Defend the Governing Body When Things Go Wrong
Six Things Elders should never include on reports as it relates to the Watchtower judicial process: These are instructions that are generally given to the elders during the Kingdom Ministry Schools. Avoid: 1. Mentioning anything alluding to or naming one of the Society’s attorneys. 2. Mentioning the Legal Department 3. Making comments referring to receiving direction from the Society 4. Making comments mentioning anyone other than the committee itself as a possible influence in the decision reached 5. Making comments that might suggest to someone with a critical eye that the committee did not reach its decision on its own but, instead, somehow yielded to the influence of an outside party 6. Mentioning comments indicating that the elders mishandled the case or committed any error in the investigation or the judicial committee process. Critical Thinking is NOT encouraged
Any group that tells you NOT to look to outside sources for ideas or research on any subject, or who tells you not to seek secondary or higher education, is manipulating you into staying malleable for further brain washing. The next suggestion the JW’s have for you, instead of going to college, is to just work a part-time job and spend the rest of your time making more JW disciples and getting people to convert to their doctrine. Members are striped of their autonomy and not allowed critical thinking or personal choice. They are programmed to obey and report back on other JWs. It keeps you in a constant state of fear from even being yourself around people. You develop “imposter syndrome” and lead a double life because you have to in order to survive. I know this because I was born into the JW cult. At age 5, I knew I wanted out. I also knew I had 13 more years to have to hide my true thoughts and feelings from my family that I was not a believer because they had already dumped off my oldest sister out of the house when she was 16 and I was 2. They claimed my sister worshiped Satan and was a lesbian which was enough for my delusional mother to send my oldest sister out of our home. The reality was my sister was smoking cigarettes and wanting to go out with her friends from school instead of the approved JWs. I spent my entire childhood knowing all my friends and family would be torn away and shun me when i finally broke from their cult at 18. It was extremely traumatic and it still affects me now at 50 years old. Thanks for letting me know there are others who have survived escaping this dangerous group. They need to be exposed.
Thank you- bless you
I’m a third generation JW, and left when I was 19 after living in foster care because of the abuse of my Elder Father. I knew I made the right decision when I had my son. And I knew that I couldn’t subject my child to the abuses of my own childhood. Thank you!!!
Love it
Great Podcast. I can relate to just about every single topic. This show is the realest. JT sounds just like the elders which makes it so much easier on the ears when he critiques the cult. Haha, if that doesn’t make me brainwashed!!!
