Exodus and the mass revelation at Mount Sinai A Rabbi and a Philosopher walk into a podcast

    • Judaism

The book of Exodus claims that there was a mass exodus from Egypt after the Jews were freed from Slavery by Moses. These Jews were then given the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, and were supposedly witness to a mass revelation. If true, it means that the origin story of Judaism differs from that of Christianity or Islam, in so much as that it does not trace its roots to the word of a single prophet. But how accurate is this story? In this episode Sol, Yoinosson, and special guest Rabbi Mendy Marinovsky discuss the events of exodus, their validity, and their significance.
