COBY!
Coby joins me on this episode.
However, we (... I) ran into technical difficulties.
I lost the last chunk of our conversation (and one small part in the middle).
But the heart of our conversation was still intact.
So apologies to Coby and apologies to you, listener.
Coby is the pastor of Ecclesia Clear Lake. -
MAMA HEN
Passage: Luke 13:31-35
Jesus in this passage describes God as a mother hen.
What does that mean for us?
And still -- why would I prefer Jesus to describe God as a mama bear or a tiger mom than a mother hen...? -
IF YOU SAY SO

Infectious Laugh, Uplifting spirit
I first found Joseph’s work through Tiktok. Came across his humor and wisdom at a time my family and I definitely needed it most, so I was grateful to hear that he was also launching a brand new podcast. He just wrapped up Season 1 and I can’t wait to hear what else he has in store for us. As someone who has been through a fair share of religious (and other) traumas, I can definitely say that he’s helped to restore a significant amount of hope that I have for the Church. It may also be the first time I’m hearing such affirming and uplifting messages from a fellow Asian American. I don’t think I realized how much race has played into how much I’ve felt like an outsider all this time in every church I’ve tried to fit in at. All that to say, amazing podcast, Joseph. Thanks for all you do and all you are. Also, this is the first and only podcast I’ve ever reviewed since I listen to all my podcasts on Spotify, where there’s no rating option. So if that’s not a testament to how much I love and appreciate this podcast, idk what is. haha :)
