- Society & Culture
Episode 32: We’re back…again! Kj kicks off this episode with a Minnesota Sports Minute before welcoming back the Hall of Famer as the Midwest Guest Cohost of the Day (2:49)! They start by sharing what they’ve been up to since the last episode and then discuss their current (sideways) home renovation. Then, they finish off the remaining two beverages sent in by Minneapolis Laurie in Taste Test with the Hall of Famer (28:40! Next, Kj and the HOFer welcome back Shannon and Breelyn, ( @Open_Air_Press and @TwoChicksJerky on Twitter), the amazing women behind Open Air Press Publishing and Two Chicks Jerky as this week’s guest experts (42:50)! Shannon and Breelyn update us on the status of their first Open Air Press publication - “Coming Out Together. A Collection of Short Memoirs on the LGBTQIA+ Experience” and their overall mission to amplify marginalized voices in our society. They share different ways in which we can help contribute to the project. Then, they weigh in on the coffee shop/donut shop and gas station bathroom debates, impart some road trip wisdom, introduce Kj and the HOFer to a new term, and much more!
A good (central standard) time was had by all!
